Gloria, Viola/Violin/Beginner Piano
Gloria enjoys a multifaceted musical career. As a chamber musician she has collaborated with a variety of musicians and in a diversity of styles, from Mozart flute quartets to pop music in all kinds of venues.
As a member of the YOA Orchestra of the Americas Gloria toured Central and South America and performed at Carnegie Hall in New York. She was a member of Camerata Miranda, Symphony Orchestra of the City of Asuncion (OSCA), the Ohio Light Opera Orchestra and the Arkansas Philharmonic. Currently, she is a member of the Symphony of Northwest Arkansas (SoNA) and the Topeka Symphony Orchestra. As a soloist, she performed with the Camerata Miranda and Chamber Orchestra of Asuncion in Paraguay, and the Pittsburg State University Chamber Orchestra in Kansas.
While residing in Paraguay, Gloria devoted a good part of her time to passing on her love of music to children and young adults. She worked in collaboration with private music schools in the Asuncion area, as well as the socio-cultural project Sondidos de la Tierra as a string instructor, traveling across Paraguay to give music lessons.
Gloria was born in Asuncion, Paraguay and after private musical studies in Asuncion she earned a Bachelor of Music Degree from Pittsburg State University. Currently she’s pursuing a Master of Music Degree at the UMKC Conservatory of Music and Dance, under renowned violist Scott Lee’s guidance. Gloria is married to violinist Zsolt Eder.
